Porcelain Veneer Process
Check out our step-by-step process below.
Step 1: Consultation & Interview
The first step in the porcelain veneer process is scheduling a consultation to discuss your goals and explore your options. Digital images of your teeth and smile will be taken, objectives will be reviewed, and examples of stunning smiles will be shown to help you choose the best one for your facial structure. You will have the opportunity to see hundreds of examples of our own cosmetic dentistry work.
Our team is dedicated to understanding your desires and offering personalized treatment plans, whether you need two veneers or a full-mouth restoration. By the end of this appointment, our dentists will have created a customized plan to deliver the smile of your dreams, often exceeding your expectations!
Step 2: Creating Your Blueprint
Once the plan for your smile is finalized, impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to a Master Ceramist who will create a "wax-up" blueprint of your veneers using a chewing simulator machine. This ensures both the aesthetic beauty and long-term functionality of your restorations.
Step 3: Preparation & Temporary Veneers
After the wax-up, the procedure will begin. Your teeth will be conservatively contoured as needed and prepared for the veneers. Temporary veneers will be worn for about three weeks to make any necessary modifications before the fabrication of your permanent veneers.
During this stage, adjustments can be made based on your feedback to ensure the final veneers meet both cosmetic and functional expectations.
Step 4: The Veneer Placement
On the exciting day, your temporary veneers will be removed and the final porcelain veneers will be tried in. Once everything is perfect and you are satisfied with the results, the veneers will be permanently bonded in place.
Your bite will be equilibrated for natural, balanced movement and impressions may be taken for a night guard to protect your new smile. With this, your beautiful new veneers are complete!
